The Northeast Red Watershed District is offering a tree giveaway program for residents within its district boundaries. Orders are taken on a first come, first served basis, and each species is available in bundles of 10 trees. Households may request up to 40 trees total. The Seine Rat Roseau Watershed District will be assisting residents with private well water testing for the presence of E. coli and coliform bacteria. The provincially subsidized cost of private well water testing is $17.67 (including tax). Each legal location is eligible for one sample per well per year.
