The Council and Administration of the RM of Reynolds are dedicated to the growth and well-being of our region. Our administrative team manages the day-to-day functions of the municipality, while our elected Council provides the vision and policy direction for our community.

Council Meetings & Delegations

Meeting Schedule

Regular Council meetings are held twice a month on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month unless otherwise amended.

Addressing Council

Residents and groups wishing to appear must fill out the Delegation Registration Form. The CAO will review and respond to the registration.

  • Deadline: Please book by 12:00 Noon on the Wednesday preceding the meeting.
  • Registration: A Delegation Registration Form is required and can be found here.

By-Laws & Resolutions

Subsection 140(1) Council may only act by by-law or resolution. If a by-law is not specified, then council can act by resolution.

Subsection 142(1) Every proposed by-law must be given three separate readings at meetings of the council, and each reading must be put to a vote.

Subsection 142(2) A council may not give a proposed by-law more than two readings at the same council meeting.

Access to Information

Municipal records to be provided on request

Subsection 263(1) A chief administrative officer must, on the request of a person and within a reasonable time, provide access to any of the following municipal records that the municipality is required to keep at the municipal office:

  • Assessment rolls;
  • Financial plans;
  • Financial statements;
  • Reports of the auditor;
  • [repealed] S.M. 1997, c. 53, s. 4;
  • The minutes of meetings of the council and council committees, except the minutes for any part of a committee meeting that was closed under subsection 152(3);
  • By-laws and resolutions of the council and resolutions of council committee meetings;
  • A report of the Ombudsman received by council under clause 37(2)(b) of The Ombudsman Act;
  • An election finance statement filed by a registered candidate in an election.
