Updating the Voters List

In accordance with Section 36 of the Municipal Councils and School Boards Election Act (MCSBEA), the RM of Reynolds Voters List is open for changes or revisions. Any person who is eligible to vote in municipal elections in the Local Authority of Reynolds can have his or her name added to the Voters List, or have any information about the voter on the Voters List corrected.

Voter Eligibility

In order to be eligible to vote in an election, a person must be:

  • A Canadian Citizen;

  • At least 18 years of age on Election Day;

  • A resident of the local authority for at least six months on Election Day (since April 28, 2026).

Application for Personal Security Protection

For personal security reasons, a voter may wish to have their name, address, or other personal information obscured or omitted from the voters list. Any eligible voter may apply to the Senior Election Official (SEO) for personal security protection.

You may do so by contacting the SEO – Gail Wasylnuk at 204-223-7607.

To be omitted or obscured from the voters list, you must apply to the SEO no later than September 22, 2026, as the voters list cannot be revised after this date (36 days before the election).

  • Process: The SEO will provide a standard application form. You must provide proof of identity.

  • Result: Once approved, you will be issued a personal security certificate with a voter identification number, which replaces your personal information on the voters list.

  • Voting Method: As a personal security voter, you may only vote by sealed envelope. When applying for protection, please also inquire about the sealed envelope voting process.
