Strategic Plans
Strategic plans are the RM’s roadmaps. They set priorities, guide work planning and budgeting, and help Council and Administration stay focused on the most important needs and opportunities in the Rural Municipality of Reynolds. This page shares the RM’s current Council-level strategic planning report, the Economic Development Office’s strategic plan, and an archived copy of the previous Council plan for reference.
2025–2026 Economic Development Strategic Plan
The Economic Development Strategic Plan is the working roadmap for the RM’s Economic Development Office. It outlines priorities and intended actions, consolidates the RM’s vision for local economic growth, and organizes a prioritized set of projects and initiatives.
This plan is used to guide day-to-day operations and annual work planning, support budgeting and grant applications, clarify project scope and expected benefits, and support performance monitoring and public reporting.
Projects are organized under six strategic pillars:
This plan is a practical guidance document and does not replace statutory planning or regulatory approvals. Individual projects remain subject to Council approval, funding availability, and external requirements, and the plan is intended to be reviewed and updated as needed.
How Progress is Shared
The RM reports on progress through regular Council decision-making and annual work planning. When strategic priorities result in new initiatives, residents will typically see them reflected through Council agendas and minutes, budget decisions, project updates, and RM communications.
