WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBOURHOOD! NEW HAMLET SIGNS ARE UP!

Drive around the RM and be sure to look up! We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the final new Hamlet signs are officially installed across the municipality!

These beautiful signs not only mark our communities but add a real touch of pride to the entryways of our hamlets.

A Big Thank You to Our Team!

This project was a true community effort, and we owe a massive thank you to everyone who made it happen:

  • Installation Pros: Huge thanks to the expertise of Keith Johnson and the entire KAM Construction team! They did an incredible job ensuring every sign was installed perfectly and safely.
  • Behind-the-Scenes Stars: A special shout-out to Sherri and Murray for all their hard work and organization! From logistics to scheduling, their efforts were essential in bringing this project to life.

We are also grateful that this project was made possible with funding secured from the Building Sustainable Communities Grant.

We hope you enjoy seeing these fantastic new signs as you travel through the RM of Reynolds!

GRID METALS COMMUNITY UPDATE: FALCON WEST EXPLORATION

On November 19, Grid Metals held an open house where 32 residents met with the company's President and CEO, Robin Dunbar, and Hydro Geologist, Ryan Mills. The goal was to share details about the exploration work in the Falcon West area.

The Falcon West Project is located about 2 kilometers east of the Falcon West Estates. This area has been explored for rare metals, like lithium, on and off for over 70 years.

Grid Metals is currently running a diamond drilling exploration program. They are testing a small area, approximately 140 meters by 40 meters, by drilling just over 20 test holes to-date. The company confirmed that all drill pads will be rehabilitated (cleaned up and restored) once the drilling is complete.

Grid Metals explained that if enough Cesium is found in the area, a mining application would be the next phase. Mining for Cesium ore is straightforward, requiring only crushing and ore-sorting to create a concentrate. Because the deposits are generally small, the company believes the environmental impact of mining them is quite limited. Any necessary processing of the Cesium would be done at Tanco Mines.

The meeting was well-attended, and Grid Metals made every effort to answer questions from residents. They are committed to keeping the doors of communication open.

If you would like to receive direct email information from Grid Metals regarding the Falcon West Project, you can email Robin Dunbar at rd@gridmetalscorp.com and ask to be added to their Falcon West contact list. Should a mining licence application be formally submitted to the Province, further community engagement sessions will also be held.
